It has zero permeability (k approximately equal to 5x10⁻¹³ m/s). By combining the natural swelling properties of bentonite clay with durable geosynthetic layers, it delivers superior self-sealing performance even if punctured or damaged, offering long-term environmental containment and protection while eliminating the need for frequent repairs or maintenance. Its efficient design minimizes the need for thick compacted clay liners, lowering material, transport, and installation costs while ensuring reliable containment across diverse site conditions.
